National Museum of Racing-
Hall of Fame Jockey Inductees
Induction into the Jockey Hall of Fame is one of the highest honors in Thoroughbred racing. Each year, the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame recognizes riders whose careers have made a lasting impact on the sport through exceptional achievements, historic victories, and sustained excellence in the saddle.
Candidates are selected through a formal nomination and voting process involving racing historians, media members, and industry professionals. Jockeys generally become eligible after a minimum of 20 years of riding experience, with a waiting period following retirement in most cases. Inductees are formally honored during the Museum’s annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony held each summer in Saratoga Springs, New York.
Hall of Fame jockeys represent the sport’s most influential riders—from early legends who helped shape American racing to modern champions whose accomplishments define contemporary Thoroughbred competition.
