(August 2, 2010) --- “Dining With The Dynasty”, a charity event that bring legendary jockeys from all over the country to raise funds to benefit two national organizations dedicated to serving the athletes and workers that support Thoroughbred racing, returns to Arlington Park Friday, August 20, 2010, the day before the track presents the 28th running of the Grade I Arlington Million. This year’s event will provide ticket purchasers with a unique chance to dine and share stories with 20 legendary jockeys. Scheduled to appear are: Jerry Bailey, Bill Boland, Walter Blum, Steve Cauthen, Patty Cooksey, Angel Cordero Jr., Jean Cruguet, Pat Day, Earlie Fires, Mark Guidry, Sandy Hawley, Dennis Keenan, Laffit Pincay Jr., Randy Romero, John Rotz, Gary Stevens, Ray Sibille, Ron Turcotte, Jacinto Vasquez and Jorge Velasquez. Ticketholders will spend an afternoon in Arlington’s brand new Longshots Sports Bar with the legendary and Hall of Fame jockeys who will share stories, reminisce about racing experiences and will autograph your racing memorabilia. Sportscaster Howard Sudberry and horse racing handicapper Joe Kristufek will host the event and stimulate banter between the jockeys regarding their competition in races over the years. After August 12, tickets are $119 online or at the box office. The event is limited to the first 200 who purchase tickets. Tickets include admission to the track plus food and beverage, a private autograph session with the legends, a question and answer session with the riders, and incredible once in a lifetime prizes. The first 150 to purchase a ticket will each receive a voucher that allows them an opportunity to purchase a numbered limited edition Ron Turcotte bobblehead doll that Turcotte will autograph at the event. Door prizes for the event include two tickets to a luxury suite with the legendary riders for the Arlington Million the following afternoon; two general admission tickets for Arlington Million that will include access to the Paddock for the afternoon’s three Grade I races – the Million, the Beverly D. and the Secretariat Stakes; the opportunity to name a racehorse; and other great horse racing memorabilia. In addition to “Dining With The Dynasty”, many of the riders will appear at Breakfast at Arlington from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Friday, August 20 and will participate in a public autograph session at a time to be determined on Arlington Million Day, Saturday, August 21.
