Through Sept. 25, 2005 ranked 10th nationally in earnings with $7,990,506.

Through Sept. 25, 2005 had 211 wins in 943 starts.

Won his first Breeders' Cup race last year in the Turf with Better Talk Now.
In his two other mounts, also in 2004, he finished third on My Cousin Matt in
the Sprint and fifth aboard Dance Away Capote in the Juvenile Fillies.

Top mounts this year have included Better Talk Now (G1 United Nations Stakes,
G1 Man o' War, G3 Fort Marcy Handicap), Seeking Slew (G3 Kent Breeders' Cup),
and High Limit (G2 Louisiana Derby). Also has ridden Isola Piu Bella, Battle
Won and Superfly.

Began riding horses at age 16 in Venezuela despite his father's strong
disapproval.

Came to the United States in 1995 and began riding in 1996 at Hialeah. His
first win was aboard Solo Moondance in March of that year. Quickly established
himself as a competitive rider.

Led the nation in wins in 2001 (431) and 2003 (453).

Was married the day after the 2001 Belmont Stakes but delayed his honeymoon
until January 2002 because of the opportunity to win the national riding
title.

Won his 2,000th career race in late June of 2004.

Won the 2004 Isaac Murphy Award presented by the National Turf Writers
Association to the jockey with the highest winning percentage (28.3) ...
Ranked second nationally with 383 wins and ninth in earnings with a career-
best $11.5 million.

Splits riding time among Delaware, Florida and New York.
